  • How did you become a Castaway? I got "roped" into it. See what I did there? Wait - they use paddles...I have followed the Castaways since Eric Pino, a close friend since grade school, started in the endeavor.

  • Why are you a Castaway? As the organization has evolved, so has their need for more people to promote and assist their efforts. I signed on as Event Chair this year, given my background in Event Management, and I am very excited to be a part of this wonderful group.

  • Outside a kayak/bicycle, what is your "essential" gear? Is this a Frigo question? What does this mean?

  • Conch Republic Navy Rank: Haven’t had the honor of being inducted yet.

  • Where'd you go to high school? Like... Our Lady of Lourdes Academy

  • Where'd you go to College/Grad School? University of Florida

  • Where do you work and what’s your role there? I am in Communications for the Platforms and Technology Group at TD Bank. I am Project Lead/ Manager for all of the internal tech conferences we host in the US and Canada

  • Favorite music/artists: Morgan Wallen and of course, Pitbull

  • Favorite movies/genre: Romantic Comedy... with Pitbull music

  • Favorite books: Anything anti-institution... that or the Sweet Valley Twins

  • Fun Facts about you: 1. My twin sister is the Communications Chair for the Castaways. She likes to boss me around. 2- I can leg press more than a Belen Guy. 3- When I am not working, being an uber driver for my girls, or helping out the Castaways, I also coach Cheerleading at a local Middle School

  • The mission of the Castaways mission is to help fund cancer research and honor those who've fought the fight. How do you do that?? As Event Chair, my goal is their goal. I can’t paddle to Key West (because I'm a Lourdes girl), but I can promote their work and help them reach their goal, through low-budget and efficient event management. Honoring those who have fought the fight is personal to me. Who doesn't know someone affected by cancer? I do this for them.
