Below is a list of events the Castaways are hosting. Most events take place in June and revolve around our launch and landing. Hope to see you out there!

Our Opening Ceremony will begin promptly at 7 AM at Castaway Beach (right next to the Miami Seaquarium), but to allow our friends and supporters additional time for parking we have set the event to start at 6:45.
We will be kicking off our mission with a few words from the CAC, an opening prayer, and the ceremonial first stroke. Be a part of this amazing Tour and help us send off our paddlers on their 160-mile journey to Key West.
We invite you to celebrate and welcome our Castaways as they arrive in Key West. The landings will be at Simonton Beach right next to the Hyatt Centric. Paddlers will arrive promptly at 4 pm, Runners at 4:15, & Cyclists at 4:30. We are planning for a more synchronized landing so that we can have 1 collective celebration.

Join us as we close out this year’s tour. The Closing Ceremony will take place in Key West at the Hyatt Centric dock at 7:45. We’ll celebrate those we paddle in honor of and conclude with our Flower Ceremony. The ceremonies will be broadcast on our Instagram and FB accounts.
The Tour Celebration will take place at Papa’s Pilar immediately after the Closing Ceremony (8:30 pm).

Service Animals: Castaways Against Cancer strives to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. To be respectful of those with allergies and environmental sensitivities, only service animals are allowed at this event. Proper documentation is required.
Alcohol: No alcohol will be served to guests under 21 years of age. Proof of age is required.

Join us as we close out the 2021 Blackjack Tour. The Closing Ceremony & Flower Ceremony will take place together at Smathers Beach in Key West. Tune in as the CAC close out the 2021 Blackjack Tour. The ceremonies will take place on our Instagram and FB accounts.
Transportation from Smathers to the San Carlos Institute (on Duval) is being coordinated for all. It seems like ther will be no need to figure out driving/parking. (we’ll update this once it is confirmed).
Complimentary Poke Bowls, Beer, Cocktails, Cold drinks will be available at the San Carlos.

Come celebrate the launch of the 22nd annual journey of the Castaways Against Cancer and help support their mission to fund cancer research and to honor those who've fought the fight.
$20 all you can drink passes or $5 a drink. We'll have Tank Beer, Papa's Pilar rum, Vodka, and Little Wings Wine. They'll be pizza and food trucks on sight too. We will also have kids’ activities provided by student volunteers from Christopher Columbus High School. The first 100 guests to purchases tickets will receive a gift from the CAC.
