How did you become a Castaway? I always admired the Castaways. One day, I realized 10+ years had passed by and I had done nothing about it! So I invited Eric Pino to a croqueta... somehow I ended up in a boat. This has been one of the best experiences of my life!
Why are you a Castaway? Cancer affects more people every day and it has touched my life in different ways. Paddling with the Castaways gives me the unique opportunity to take action for the cause while doing something extraordinary. I hope I can inspire others just as the Castaways inspired me.
Outside a kayak/bicycle, what is your "essential" gear? A sense of humor.

Favorite Castaways moment: In 2016, I paddled day 3 and my goal was to not capsize. After a full day of paddling, within 10 meters from shore and in sight of my family and CCNN cameras... I flipped. Also, my boat is named the Salty Peanut (after my son).
Favorite Castaways quote: "Two of them, both from OB: "Light a candle instead of cursing the darkness.” & "Life is short, do good things."
My Family: Married the love of my life, Claudia in 2009 and we two beautiful children, Emma Sophia & Evan James.
