How did you become a Castaway? I'm not really sure... As a teacher-alumnus of Columbus High School, I have always held the Castaways with admiration. Last year, as a form of homage, I biked from Key Biscayne to Key West. This year, I asked if I could bike as a Castaway. And they said: yes! ... So, here I am :)
Why are you a Castaway? I like to do good things and, helping to fund Cancer Research is good.
Outside a kayak/bicycle, what is your "essential" gear? On this trip: My bike, those tightly padded cycling shorts, helmet, and sunglasses.

Tell us about your family: I have a beautiful wife and soulmate, Rocky Paz. She is my rock (pun intended.) And, I have three intelligent, outgoing, loving daughters (Nia, Lelia, Kaya.)

Fun facts about you: One of my daughters is named after my favorite Bob Marley album.
How have I helped carry out the CAC mission of funding cancer research and honoring those who have fought the fight? I hope to fundraise by putting a cycling crew together and riding to Key West as we spread awareness of the Castaways' fight against Cancer.
