Team Role/Function: Someone has to bring up the rear and I volunteered.
How did you become a Castaway? By bringing banana pudding to the team, retired from being a restaurant owner and decided I wanted to relax in my golden years by kayaking 160 miles.
Why are you a Castaway? Because I've had first-hand experience with cancer being a 7-year breast cancer survivor.
Outside a kayak/bicycle, what is your "essential" gear? music, speaker, gloves, and lots of water

My Family: Been with my husband Richard 42 years, we are old hippies so we had some carefree days in our youth.
Where are you from? From Annapolis, MD. I’ve lived in the Florida keys for 46 years.
Where did you go to school? Went to Annapolis High School and Fl. Keys Community College.
Where do you work? Retired.
Favorite music/artists: Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, and anything old-time rock and roll.
Favorite movies/genre: Rom-Com, anything with a happy ending.
Favorite books: I read most anything.
Personal Fun Fact: I love nature and gardening. Have fish, turtles, wild birds and lots of flowers.
How have I helped carry out the CAC mission of funding cancer research and honoring those who have fought the fight? I volunteer with ACS in their Road to Recovery and Reach to Recovery programs. I honor those who've fought the fight by kayaking for different people every day on our 7-day journey with the Castaways.
