  • How did you become a Castaway? Connected to CAC thru my BFFs lil brother Armando (who I have known FOREVER) to this fundraising group

  • Why are you a Castaway? I have lost a few people in my life to Cancer & this CAC platform allows me to give a little something back to the fight for a CURE. Which I of course hope will happen in my lifetime!

  • What is your "essential gear" to be a good Castaway? Asides from a desire to help fundraise and have a little fun- well the CAC Hat/ CAC Shirt / CAC thermal cup (with adult juice in it of course) basically anything with the CAC LOGO!!!

  • My Family: I have 2 adult sons, Chris & Alex and 1 Sister Norma - ALL of which I love very muchoooo

  • Where are you from? I am from.... (DRUMROLLLLL)..... MIAMI, FL - Born & raised here and lived here all my life for better or worse!

  • Where'd you go to high school? A very small private school in SW area called at that time Miami Private School. It is now under another name.

  • Where'd you go to College/Grad School? Miami Dade Community College

  • Where do you work and what's your role there? I work at University of Miami. I am an Executive Assistant to the Medical Directors and the rest of the team- here at the Thoracic /Lung Transplant Service at Miami Transplant Institute

  • Favorite music/artists: I am pretty open to all music. But I like: Jazz, pop, country, salsa, classic rock, but I don't love heavy metal (hurts my ears - LOL) oh & I love 80's and 90's music!!

  • Favorite movies/genre: I love comedy. musicals, thrillers- mostly anything except anything with GORE. -- YUK- no likey

  • Favorite books: I like Jane Austen books (as nerdy as that may be) lol. I love the book Little Women- I have read it many times over the years. Due to read it again soon (again nerdy) But basically anything that I can connect to somehow that doesn't bore me- (ADD brain) lol

  • Personal Fun Facts: I like dancing and singing and making people laugh!! I enjoy spending time with my kids and my BFF (who is also a castaway).

  • The mission of the Castaways mission is to help fund cancer research and honor those who've fought the fight. How do you (plan to) do that? By telling everyone in my path about CAC and their mission. By reminding them that Cancer does NOT discriminate and can affect each and every one of us at some point in time. (if it has not already) Showing how all this fundraising goes to find that CURE we all hope to achieve soon.
